On October 18th, Xu Tao, General Manager of XJ Electric Corporation, met with Mr. Salah Bamasak, Vice President of the System Planning Division of Saudi Electricity Company, and his delegation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on strengthening practical cooperation at a deeper level and in a wider fields.

Xu Tao extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Saudi Electricity Company and expressed his gratitude for the company's long-term support and assistance to XJ. He also introduced the latest development of the company's main business, scientific research technology, industrial bases, high-tech talents and other aspects, especially highlighting the comprehensive strength in businesses such as prefabricated substations and UHVDC transmission. 

He stated that XJ is a large-scale backbone and leading enterprise in China's power equipment industry with rich experience, advanced technology, and successful cases in fields such as HV power transmission and smart grids. In recent years, the two sides have established a solid foundation for cooperation in areas such as UHVDC transmission, distribution network digitization and local manufacturing. He expressed his expectation that the two sides will further strengthen communication and exchanges, continuously deepen cooperation in fields such as power transmission and transformation, distribution and power utilization, and establish a long-lasting, stable, mutually beneficial, and win-win partnership. By working hand in hand, they will jointly promote the development of Saudi Arabia's power industry, contribute to the realization of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, and strive to create a model for cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Mr. Saleh from Saudi Electricity Company introduced the construction requirements of the Saudi power grid and the latest power investment plan of Saudi Electricity Company. He highly recognized the R&D and manufacturing capabilities, product quality, and technical level of XJ’s MV switches, distribution switches, prefabricated cabins and other equipment. He also stated that further deepening the cooperation between the two sides is of great significance for Saudi Arabia to promote digital transformation of the power grid and improve the power equipment manufacturing level of local enterprises.

In addition, the two sides also had a thorough exchange on the support plans provided by XJ for prefabricated substations, mobile substations, and the renovation projects of old substations. The two sides also reached a consensus on continuing to promote the business cooperation in prefabricated substations and facilitating the entry of more high-end electrical equipment of XJ into the Saudi market.
