As an important part of the central line of the Trans-Asian Railway, it is the first electrified railway in Laos which is of great significance for promoting the economic and social development of Laos. For XJ, it is a landmark project marking the first time that XJ's full-sequence railway products have gone global.

Location: The China-Laos Railway is 1035 kilometers long composed of Kunyu section, Yumo section and Mowan section

Work Undertaken by XJ: Supply of  traction integrated automation systems, auxiliary monitoring systems, HV switchgears, HV ring main units for the Yuxi-Mohan section of the China-Laos Railway in China and traction integrated automation systems, integrated automation systems and high-voltage ring main units for the section in Laos
