XJ Electric Corporation Invited to Deliver a Keynote Report at the 20th IET International Conference on AC and DC Power Transmission

From July 12 to 15, the 20th IET International Conference on AC and DC Power Transmission (ACDC 2024) was held in Shanghai. Sponsored by IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology), Tsinghua University, Huairou Laboratory and China Electrical Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and organized by XJ Electric Corporation and other organizations, this conference is a grand event to discuss the innovative development of energy and power, as well as a grand event for experts and friends from all walks of life to seek common cooperation, share development and create the future together.

The conference focused on the discussion of topics such as basic components, key core equipment and major AC/DC transmission projects for building a new power system. It contributed intelligent solutions to the innovative development of AC/DC transmission technology, built a bridge linking technical exchanges and cooperation for scholars from all walks of life, and effectively promoted international innovation cooperation in the transmission technology field.

Hu Siquan, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of XJ Electric Corporation, was invited to deliver a keynote report titled Key Technology and Application for Large-scale Renewable Energy DC Transmission. XJ Flexible Power Transmission Company was invited to deliver a special topic titled Overvoltage Suppression Technology and Equipment for Large-scale New Energy VSC-HVDC Transmission System. XJ DC Power Transmission Company participated in the media roundtable forum. One research achievement of XJ Electric Corporation won the "Second Prize of ACDC 2024 Best Conference Paper Award".

Under the "dual carbon" goal, renewable energy is developing rapidly and will surely become the main power supply in the future. Due to its flexibility and advanced control, VSC-HVDC transmission technology is an important means to solve the problems of long-distance outbound transmission from large-scale energy bases, weak grid structure in the sending end system and dense DC landing points in the receiving end system.

XJ Electric Corporation's Research on Diode Converter Valve for HVDC Transmission System of Offshore Wind Power won the "Second Prize of ACDC 2024 Best Conference Paper Award".
